How do period pants work?

The Asan period underwear is made with special multi-layered technology that absorbs menstrual flow while keeping you dry, comfortable and odour-free. It can replace or act as a back-up to pads, tampons, or cups, depending on your flow.

How much flow can they hold?

The Asan Light/medium flow period pants can hold up to 20ml, which is 2x more than an average pad.

The Asan Heavy flow period pants can hold up to 35ml, which is 4x more than a pad.

Can I wear them for spotting and discharge?

Absolutely.

The Light/medium flow period pants are perfect for spotting and discharge. The Heavy flow pants are great for heavier days.

Does these period pants contain micro-plastics?

Unlike other brands made from synthetic fabrics, Asan uses OEKO-TEX approved cotton. This ensures that it is free of harmful micro-plastics, making it safe for your body and the planet.

Why are the styles different?

The Light/medium flow comes in a hipster style for the lighter days where you feel free to move around.

The Heavy flow comes in a high waist to make you feel protected, cosy and warm on the heaviest days of your period.

How many pairs do I need?

This depends on how often you want to do laundry! We recommend that 5-7 pairs are enough to comfortably rotate through a cycle.
