Impact Report 2024

A message from the founder

Dear Asan community,
As I look back on 2024, I am filled with pride at what we’ve achieved together. We've ended period poverty in over 100 villages - enabling over 50,000 women and girls to go to school, work and live freely during periods. We've also prevented nearly 1,000 tonnes of landfill waste from plastic period products.
But we are just getting started. Over one billion women globally still lack access to safe, affordable period care. Now more than ever, we need to get Asan cups into the hands of women and girls everywhere -- to give them the freedom to shape their own futures.
With gratitude,
Ira Guha

“I have heavy flow and had to stay home for 5 days each month. I was terrified of leaks with cloth rags. I was the first in my village to adopt the Asan cup. As a panchayat (local cabinet) leader, it makes my work life so easy! I’m promoting cups for younger girls, so they don’t have to skip school and college during periods”. -
